Green Water, WA. Forest Road
70
Saturday the 7th of April,
2001
A few of us from Outdoor
Wire's SUV forum got together to do a little exploring of the area
before the June Jam for 2001 comes up.
In our group was myself (Corey),
Todd, and Harlan.
My rig is the white '91 2nd
gen 4Runner, Todd's is the green '97, and Harlan's is the white '97.
Todd had taken off his running
boards the night before. We noticed that Harlan's rig was pretty clean
on the sides compared to ours. The running boards really do protect your
sides from having crud splash all over it.
We had a pretty good time up
there, and it snowed on us for the most part. Most of the snow was fresh
that we ran into also.
Our elevation was between 3
& 4,000 feet.
Here are a few pics. Didn't
get to many today.
Just the 3 of us in the parking
lot at Safeway in Enumclaw.
Driving up the first 10 miles
of asphalt on FS road 70 before it turns into dirt.
Just a shot of the mountains.
Here are 5 more pics just added
from Todd's digicam, 1st one is a group shot taken by Todd's son.
My rig, Snow White
Harlan's rig.

Here are a few videos I took
with my Sony Cyber Shot S70 digital camera.

In the 1st video it looks like
I'm not watching the road as I'm driving up the mountain road with a big
drop off to the right of me. Believe me, I'm fully watching the road as
they are treacherous up there. I'm merely holding the digicam with the
right hand and index finger on it to shoot the vid. I'm not that stupid
to not watch where I'm driving.
