MagLite Installation

I would like to thank Ken Flesher for this idea. That's what is so cool about the 'Net. You can see other people's rigs and get some ideas for your own rig. Ken had drilled into the cross member behind where the Husky floor liner goes and he had to do some trimming on his mat. I just ran some small bolts right through the Husky and the MagLite's holder are fastened right to the Husky mat. The mat is strong enough to hold the light clips. You just have to pull the light out gently one end at a time. I may reinforce the back of the mat later if needed.
Its a big light, 4 D cells. I was going to mount it on the side of my console, but I hate having to drill holes into anything I don't have to. I think the mat idea is going to work out very well.
I opted to put it on the passenger side as it would be out of the way better. Still, where it's mounted it should not be a problem with anyone getting in or out, or in the way.
G.I. Joe's have a terrific sale on these the week of 3/12/2000.

Maglite also has a website, complete with some pretty cool Flash animation.

The part # for the Maglite clips is:
108000426
for the D cell Maglite's, and goes for $5.99 at GI Joe's.
You can get one from a local store, or go to their website and call them up and they will ship you a set of two clips in return  for your # off of your credit card.
